Rapid City South Dakota

Located in western South Dakota and is the gateway to the Black Hills. The city population of 66,000 and the MSA population of 119,300 people allow for the small city feel with the amenities of a large city. Rapid City has grown over the last several decades to where the medical and retail community serve in excess of 370,000 people. The outdoor recreation is plentiful with lots of public parks, tennis courts, ball fields, swimming pools, volley ball, disc golf and two public golf courses. Indoor amenities include a regional museum with arts and crafts, swimming, racquetball, ice skating, hockey and several movie theatres. The Rushmore Plaza Civic Center serves as a regional event center with activities such as rodeo, basketball, concerts, art displays, home show, car shows and sports shows. The local government comprising of a ten member council and a mayor serves the communities needs along with a highly respected police and fire department. Our school system includes several elementary schools, middle schools and two public high schools as well as a host of private school opportunities all of which have excellent educators. Our retail community provides state of the art retail shopping for the consumer and continues to grow. And Rapid City’s weather is seasonal yet comfortable.
